My professor and I have been working our butts off planning a forum to promote deliberation about immigration reform. We have recruited 88 people (Students, International students, Community Leaders, Community Members, Faculty/Staff/Administrators) with a goal of 100. This event isn’t about debating for the sake of arguing on who’s right or wrong. It’s giving participants a chance to listen to another person’s point of view in hopes that everyone will walk out with a different perspective than what they came in with. This quote reminded me of what I am working on right now so excuse my long post. If anyone would like to participate please inbox me!:)
